Corporate
entertaining takes the form of a Champagne reception on the terrace,
where you will be joined by some of the players, followed by a gourmet
three-course lunch in the elegant new Banqueting Suites and, during
a break in the afternoon’s tennis, a sumptuous tea. The grandstand
on Centre Court offers a perfect view of the action and is conveniently
situated next to the Champagne and Pimms marquee for those who wish
to take a break from the tennis.
A
host of outstanding players have graced the Centre Court at The
Hurlingham Club over the past 13 years and between them they have
amassed countless Grand Slam titles. Following the success of introducing
current ATP players to the tournament last year we continued with
this format welcoming a number of top players.
World
No. 2 Rafael Nadal took on Jarkko Nieminen and last year’s
finalist Feliciano Lopez played Mark Philippoussis in two exhibition
matches on the Thursday and Friday respectively, while the crowd’s
favourite past Champions played in an entertaining and highly skilled
Doubles tournament throughout the week.
Pro-Ams
There
are a number of options for those wishing to combine excellent hospitality
with something their guests will never forget – a place in
a Pro-am or tennis clinic. Pro-ams (round robin doubles format with
a pro and a guest in each pairing) and clinics (coaching session
with two tournament players) take place in the morning and are available
from Tuesday to Friday.
All
in all, we aim to provide clients with a distinctive experience
that combines superb dining and hospitality with great tennis in
a quintessentially English setting. |
