Established for nearly 20 years, Event Management Group Ltd (EMG) brings a wealth of experience and a fresh approach to corporate events including hospitality, entertainment and team building. We rarely see a client just once. Most of our clients come to us again and again, enabling us to develop a solid understanding of their business objectives. We do not see corporate events as an excuse for a “jolly”; we make it our priority to understand what you want to achieve from your event and work hard to ensure that you see the results that you ’re looking for – all within budget.
Whether you need to strengthen client relationships, integrate new members of staff, kick-start learning & development or simply throw a memorable Christmas Party, EMG can provide the right support. Our team will work with you from concept to completion to create a unique and memorable event that exceeds expectations. Catering Hampshire, the South, London and the wider UK, we pride ourselves on delivering a first-class service to each and everyone one of our clients, large and small. Give us a call to see how EMG can help your business.
Jason began working life as a diamond setter for Garrad the Crown Jewellers (incidentally this is where he developed a taste for the finer things in life) and moved into events following a chance meeting in a pub. Over 15 years later Jason is the MD of the Event Management Group; driving new business innovations, keeping the team on track and thriving in the fast paced events industry. Due to his aforementioned love of expensive things, Jason likes to spend his time on yachts and has done a fair amount of Grand Prix Yacht Racing around the world.
The Match Racing Academy – it encapsulates everything that I love in the events industry. First class all the way!
Jayne is EMG’s much-loved Sales Director, a superb Account Manager and pretty much the mother hen of the team. About to enter her 14th year in the world of events, Jayne started her events work at Powerwaves in a similar role, producing high quality, creative events. Outside of work Jayne has her lovely husband Adam and, two great boys to hang out with, Finn and Seth, but once they are asleep, friends, wine and cooking keep her occupied. To burn of the calories that seem to float about the office Jayne heads to circuits, and goes for the (very) occasional run.
It’s got to be an incentive trip to Iceland…but the UK Sailing events are also fantastic.
Falling in love with events in Australia where she worked creating themes for large parties, Laura joined EMG as our dedicated Hotel Liaison. With her varied knowledge of events gained in both Australia and when putting together events for a female fitness company in London, Laura is a fantastic addition to the team. Laura is allergic to almost everything including tomatoes, dairy, shellfish and garlic, so never offer to take her to dinner or cook for her. Despite her inability to eat almost all food she remains a happy little camper who appreciates tree frogs, lizards and fancy dress!
Country Pursuits – specifically the duck herding! Until I came to EMG I never knew how much I like ducks.
Gemma is EMG’s trusty Operations Manager and can often be found clipboard in hand organising everyone and everything! Gemma wanted to work in Events from a young age, leading her to Bournemouth Uni where she gained a BA Hons in Events Management. She then went on to gain experience at a range of events companies before EMG found her and held on tight! Outside of work Gemma likes to do the usual things like reading, going to the gym and watching films, however, her secret passion is tidying and she can often be found hanging about the office with her dust devil in hand.
Team Sailing Regattas – they’re so exciting and it’s great to seeing guests getting so involved.
Jason D works in the Operations Department with the lovely Gemma, and is what can only be described as a bit of an Action Man, or as Jayne calls him ‘Sporticus’. Generally good at everything (incredibly he is a qualified chocolatier and a falconer), Jason has been working in the events industry for several years, with a focus on team building and facilitation. His love of the water led him to study Marine and Freshwater Biology at University and he still likes to get his feet wet surfing and powerboating. Jason has saved a life.
RIB Treasure Hunt – racing around on the water is brilliant fun and if there’s a time limit it’s a great excuse to go even faster!
Helen is the newest member of the team, she’ll be taking care of the Accounts while Emily is away with baby No. 2, looking after Jason’s diary and generally keeping everyone in order. Helen had a similar role at the Earl’s Court Boat Show a few years ago, but in recent years has been getting her hands dirty gardening so we’re hoping that she can somehow revive the rather sad looking Orchid on Jayne’s desk. Although we’re expecting great things from Miss Lamb as an Office Manager, we have an inkling that she’s going to have her hands full keeping Jason in line.
Land, Sea & Air Experience – it’s a pretty phenomenal event but Survivor is definitely a close second as I like muddy, outdoorsy things!
Julia joined EMG as their Marketing Manager in 2011, having grown weary of the long commute to London town. With a degree in Ancient History & Archaeology and passion for Adobe software, Jayne describes Julia as a bit of a geek but she likes to think of herself as simply studious. Julia takes care of EMG’s website and brochures amongst other things and is a food obsessive who loves nothing more than a cup of tea and a pack of jammy dodgers to dunk. Julia is also very tall.
Family Fun Day – juggling, candy floss, ferret racing, duck herding, fire eaters…honestly what more could you ask for in life?
Having studied travel, tourism & events at school Emily got a taste for events at a young age, however, oddly enough it was the financial side of events that she fell in love with. She went on to look after the accounts at an international law firm in London, where she picked up her army-esque efficiency, and then missing the sea moved back to the coast and found her way to EMG. Although very much a lady and always immaculately presented, Emily likes to call a spade and spade so you can always rely on her for the truth (even when it’s unwanted). Emily is soon to be heading off on maternity leave with her second wee one.
Luxury Yacht Charter – you can’t beat a day out on the water with gorgeous food and good company!

Q. Where do we operate our events?
A. We are not tied to any venue or location. We have the luxury of being able to listen to our clients and work with their chosen venue if they have one or to make positive venue suggestions that suit our clients’ needs.
Q. How much do our events cost?
A. How long is a piece of string? We have something to suit every budget and all requirement. We listen to our clients very carefully before putting a price tag on an event.
Q. How active do guests have to be on events?
A. That is entirely up to you. We have events ranging from simple mind games through to the highest level yacht racing. However we always make our events inclusive to all participants in terms of age and fitness.
Q. How long does it take to get to the sea from London?
A. The choice is yours.
Q. What happens if the weather is bad?
A. Fingers crossed the weather will be fine but living in England we all know the risks. We provide wet weather clothing for all of our outdoor events and try not to let a little rain get in the way. We do however keep a keen eye on the weather and if things are looking extremely bad or unsafe close to the event we’ll suggest an alternative date.
Q. Do I need to find a venue?
A. No, not at all, we can help with this – and help negotiate rates.
Q. What’s the maximum numbers of guests on your event?
A. The more the merrier! Don’t worry about numbers, we can cope with large group sizes…
Q. When do I need to book the event by?
A. There is no set time, we can cope with very short lead times (the team love a challenge), however we often offer discounts for events booked well in advance.
Q. Who do I liaise with after the event has been signed off?
A. We will allocate you your very own event manager who will look after your event from start to finish (they’ll even be there on the day) and will be available Monday to Friday for any questions.
Q. Do you have a cancellation policy?
A. Yes we do and we always advise our clients to read through our terms and conditions prior to signing our booking form.
Q. Can we make any changes to numbers in our group?
A. Yes of course! You can simply call your event manager to discuss changes in numbers, we are aware that things change. There may be cost implications depending on the event.
Q. Do you only do sailing and water based events?
A. Not at all, we cover the whole spectrum. Visit the events section of the site or give us a call, we have some great products and events that are far from waves, water and wind.
Q. Where are we going to get lunch and dinner?
A. Leave that to us! We always keep our guests well fuelled and watered, meals vary from a full tasting menu at a 5 star hotel to a luxury hamper lunch.
Q. What Insurance cover do you provide and will I need additional Insurance?
A. As a leading Event Management Company, EMG Ltd has in place a comprehensive Events Insurance Policy, including Employers Liability and Public and Third Party Liability up to £10 Million.
In addition, all of the yachts that we represent carry specific Yacht Charter Insurance policies, which include similar levels of Public & Third Party cover. All of our skippers and crew are insured through EMG’s policy in the event of any negligence or similar claim. The only areas where you may require additional insurance is for personal accident cover or for cover against loss of possessions such as mobile phones, cameras or other high value items, please check your own policy to ensure you are covered.
Q. What else do you do?
A. We can do everything and anything. If you asked to go to the moon, we would be on the phone to NASA in seconds.
Please use the form below, or if you prefer you can phone us on 01590 670999.
Thank you. Your message has been sent and we will respond to your enquiry as soon as possible.
