Army Boot Camp Activity & Virtual Soldier Corporate Event

The Virtual soldier team building military style activity uses a unique infrared weapons training system (originally designed for team building training in the Army). Teams will be divided into platoons who will get their first taste of combat.  After a brief and short training period to devlop team work and leadership skills, the platoons and their tactical advisors will then enter the virtual battleground building team dynamics whilst undertaking a series of true-life scenarios amidst the ‘fog of war’ - created by the use of theatrical pyrotechnics!

The SA80 style rifle fires an invisible (and safe) beam to a range of nearly 50 metres, that hits sensors in the opposition forces’ helmets, setting off an alarm and downloading any ammunition held in the weapon, thus rendering them a ‘casualty’. The laser beams are ‘bullet like’ in that they can penetrate light foliage – so chose your position carefully!Reporting back to the medical station, casualties will be electronically re-activated and sent back into action.  An electronic ‘ammo-dump’ will enable the recruits to reload their rifles as many times as necessary.

The event could begin with guests going through a S.W.A.T. team vehicle checkpoint on arrival at the activity location. Further discussion is required in order to formulate a (light-hearted) event theme, and the resulting cohesive objective for the teams to ‘compete’ for during the day.

A typical event involves each group going through a series of fun training exercises developing team dynamics - activities can include:

• hostage snatch
• VIP protection
• special weapons and tactics
• sniper training
• minefield and morter

The virtual soldier kit is fully mobile however, there are two main venues that we are able to offer; the first venue is a unique woodland setting at Beaulieu where ambush and base attacks are the norm. The second is the prestigous Somerley estate where we have a developed woodland ‘battle zone’.

To finish the day platoons combine to undertake virtual soldier finale which will be run as a full-blown manoeuvre with “Op’s brief’ as well as the very serious activity of camo’ing up, concealment, section fire and movement tactics. Following the final Battle, the teams are dismissed by the sergeant major and are free to depart at leisure.
