What a strange world we find ourselves currently in. We are nearly at the end of week 4 of ‘lockdown’ and if like us, you are starting to get used to the new ‘normal’ you may be struggling to find things to keep you and the family entertained during this period.
The hospitality and events industry has taken a serious hit due to Covid-19, and although it is very uncertain times, we continue to remain positive and focused and ready to start back with our clients whenever we are able to.
If you are interested in what is going on in the hospitality industry at this time, head over to C&IT for up to date news and thoughts. It’s is a great resources for information.
Many of the team here at EMG have young families at home and are juggling working remotely with home schooling and food shopping as well as keeping the children up to date on what is going on around them without them feeling overwhelmed and scared. We have found a brilliant document which you can download here which is a Covid-19 time capsule for children to fill in, documenting how they feel, what exciting things they have done and what they have learnt from their time at home. It’s a great way to help children express themselves and will be a fabulous keepsake to look back on in years to come.
Another great resource we have found is Disney on stage which has some lovely activities for children of all ages. Each week they will be showcasing some of the most popular programmes so keep an eye on this.
The facebook page @Family Lockdown Tips and Ideas is another great resource to follow. With ideas from parents and families all over the world, it is a great resource to find things to do. Head over to our Facebook page for links to these great sites as well as many more to come.
For any budding young artists out there, Art for Kids on YouTube is a fun, guided drawing show perfect for children of any ages.
Hopefully the above gives you some food for thought and helps with those ‘difficult to fill’ hours of the day. We would love to hear how you are getting on so please contact us on our website or via social media on facebook, twitter or linked in.
We can’t wait to be back working with all our clients, agents and hotels soon! Stay home and stay safe x
